William Faulkner Literary Garden is a public garden in New Albany featuring plants and quotes from the Nobel Prize winning writer. William Faulkner Library - Located in the Union County Heritage Museum at 114 Cleveland Street, this public reference library features approximately 800 volumes about the work of the writer. Ingomar Indian Mounds -The Ingomar Mounds consist of large, flat-topped mounds which have been excavated for relics by the Smithsonian Institution.
Magnolia Civic Center & Cine Theater- The historic Ciné Theatre served as New Albany’s movie theater for many decades. After closing the original theater in the late 1990s, a unique theater and civic center was created to serve the community in the present and future. A plan was set in motion to fully renovate the existing theater, which included the addition of an event room to allow the citizens of New Albany to host a variety of events ranging from small gatherings and meetings to wedding receptions and birthday parties.
New Albany Disc Golf Course- This medium level difficulty course begins at Park Along the River and continues along the Tallahatchie Trail to the BNA Sportsplex. Free.
New Albany Dog Park- A newly designated area just for your furry friend is in the development phase. This large, fenced-in space next to the BNA Bank Tennis Complex is a place to sit and relax or play catch with your dog. All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations and supervised by an adult.
Park Along the River New Albany Arboretum- Just off of Main Street, this popular area along the Tallahatchie River includes a playground, picnic areas, a pavilion and paved walking paths. The paths cross the Tallahatchie River and continue for approximately one mile through Freedom Park to the BNA Bank Park Sportsplex.
Spray Park- Located in the BNA Bank Park Sportsplex, the New Albany Spray Park is a great way to have fun while beating the summer heat. Cool off with a few friends.
Tanglefoot Trail- is Mississippi’s longest Rails to Trails conversion and is a hiking and biking trail running through the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.
