The Tallahatchie Riverfest is an annual celebration held in New Albany, Mississippi. This lively festival captures the essence of the region, bringing together locals and visitors alike. This event is FREE to the community and visitors featuring a variety of activities, including outdoor concerts, arts and crafts, food vendors, and family-friendly fun. The Tallahatchie Riverfest is organized by the New Albany Main Street Association. This year’s RiverFest aims to honor the region’s heritage while embracing new activities. It’s a chance to create lasting memories and celebrate the community spirit along the Tallahatchie River.

Tallahatchie River Stage

The Riverfest Stage is a central feature of the festival. It is situated across Bankhead Street, allowing spectators to enjoy evening concerts while sitting along the street.

RiverFest aims to cater to diverse musical tastes. While gospel and country music have been part of past festivals, there’s often a blend of other genres as well. Whether you’re into rock, blues, folk, or something else, you’re likely to find something enjoyable.

The festival frequently showcases local musicians and bands, providing an excellent opportunity to discover talented artists from the Tallahatchie River region. Additionally, a special headliner is featured to close the show.

🎶 New This Year: Tanglefoot Sounds Presented by: 🎶

We’re thrilled to introduce Tanglefoot Sounds, a brand-new music experience at RiverFest 2026—presented by:  Located at the Tanglefoot Trailhead Plaza in downtown New Albany, this lively stage will be the heartbeat of the Marketplace, featuring local and regional performers from 10 AM to 4 PM. Whether you're shopping artisan goods or grabbing a bite, the sounds of Tanglefoot Sounds will keep the energy high and the vibes unforgettable.

Riverfest Marketplace

The marketplace features artists, craftsmen, writers, and musicians from the Tallahatchie River region. Visitors can explore workshops, demonstrations, and children’s activities. The marketplace vendors will also be situated on the “center line” of Bankhead Street. This means you’ll have easy access to a variety of food options, crafts, and other goods from local vendors. Remember to explore every nook and cranny of the marketplace—it’s a treasure trove of creativity and community spirit!

Kids Zone

The Kid Zone at Tallahatchie Riverfest is where young festival-goers turn up the fun! This vibrant, family-friendly area is packed with activities designed to spark imagination and encourage active play. From giant inflatable slides to mini obstacle courses, bounce houses, and a foamy dance party, there’s something for every little adventurer.

With a $10 wristband, kids can enjoy unlimited access to all inflatables, bounce houses, and the foam party throughout the day.

Rascal's Hangout 

Step into the heart of family fun at Rascal’s Hangout, a lively attraction nestled near the Kid Zone at Tallahatchie Riverfest. Open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Kids and families can enjoy:

Volunteers Needed

Become a volunteer for the Tallahatchie Riverfest on September 28th, 2024. This is more than just a festival; it’s a celebration of our local culture and community spirit. As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to support local businesses, interact with fellow community members, and contribute to an event that brings joy to New Albany. We need help in the morning, afternoon, and evening shifts. No matter your availability, there’s a place for you. Volunteers will receive a T-shirt, meal, and of course the Free Concert! Join us in making the Tallahatchie Riverfest a memorable experience for everyone.
